Main conference venues

The main parts of the conference will be held in the Portland Building and the Richmond Building. These buildings are adjacent to each other and include exhibition, lounge, café spaces, a large courtyard, lecture theatres for keynote presentations and screenings, and seminar rooms for parallel sessions.

 

Portland Building

  • There is step free access throughout this building via lifts.
  • There are two lifts, one with a clear door width of 80cm (2ft 7in) and one with a clear door width of 110cm (3ft 7in).
  • Accessible toilet facilities are available.
  • There are doors in corridors which have to be opened manually.
  • There are no hearing loops in lecture and seminar rooms.

Richmond Building

  • There is step free access throughout this building via lifts.
  • There is a lift with clear door width of 80cm (2ft 7in).
  • Accessible toilet facilities are available.
  • There are doors in corridors which have to be opened manually.

Social Events Venue

The three planned social events will take place in the Student Union Building.

  • Both rooms used for the conference (Third Space and The Water Hole) have step free access.
  • The lift has a clear door width of 80cm (2ft 7in).
  • There are no hearing loops in this building.

Accommodation

Single, en-suite rooms are available on campus in Chaucer House.

Chaucer house has lifts to enable access to each floor. However, on-campus rooms do not have wheelchair-accessible bathrooms.
